West Ham Finally Accepted Arsenal’s £105 Million Bid For Declan Rice

Declan Rice, the star midfielder for West Ham, is supposedly now an Arsenal player after their newest offer was ‘accepted.’ Manchester City offered stiff opposition to the Arsenal for the England star. But it appears like Mikel Arteta has chosen his main opponent now. Rice will become Arsenal’s new record signing. The Hammers recently rejected a £90 million offer from Arsenal that included £75 million down payment and £15 million add-ons.

Then Man City entered the competition by presenting their own offer for £90 million, which was this time composed of £80 million plus £10 million in add-ons. With Rice’s personal conditions fully set, it was only a matter of seeing if Arsenal and West Ham could agree on a transfer sum.

Now, it appears that the Hammers have finally accepted their third offer of £100 million plus $5 million in add-ons. However, they still have one more deal structuring obstacle to overcome. Fabrizio Romano confirmed this and he tweeted, “West Ham have just communicated to Arsenal that they’re accepting £100m plus £5m add-ons fee for Declan Rice.”

Rice led West Ham to their first trophy since 1980, the Europa Conference League in June, and it now looks that he is leaving the club. The midfielder has made 245 appearances with the Hammers, contributing to 13 other goals and 15 of his own.

In recent years, Rice has proven himself as one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League. He has also expressed openly his ambition to compete at the top level and win trophies, something he will undoubtedly be eager to do at Arsenal. Now that his move to the Emirates is almost complete, a formal announcement is anticipated very soon.

Arsenal Triumph In The Declan Rice Saga

Declan Rice is about to go to north London in an impending £105 million deal after Arsenal and West Ham finally agreed on a price. Following the rejection of the first two bids, the Hammers have now agreed to a third offer that includes £100 million in guaranteed cash along with an additional £5 million in incentives.

The guaranteed component of the cost would be paid over the course of four years under Arsenal’s new plan, according to the Daily Mail; initially, they sought to pay over the period of six.

The majority of the £100 million fixed charge must be paid far sooner than that, and West Ham is asking for two installments to be paid before the beginning of 2025 since they are having Financial Fair Play concerns.

The disagreement is only referred to as “minor,” and both clubs are now working on a compromise about the structure, but at long last, there is a clear agreement on the overall cost. Rice is excited to play for Mikel Arteta and had pushed West Ham to accept the offer. Rice will become the most expensive English footballer in history after being paid £105 million, surpassing the £100 million Manchester City paid to get Jack Grealish from Aston Villa two years prior.

Rice will shortly join Kai Havertz in signing on on the line, thus the Gunners are prepared to shift their attention elsewhere. The team is currently hoping to make significant progress in the Champions League for the next season. Few would argue against this team being stronger this summer’s additions given their track record with acquisitions so far.
