Journalist Paul Brown reports that West Ham United is ‘keen’ about finding a solution for struggling player Gianluca Scamacca this summer. Scamacca joined the Hammers last season, but after falling short of expectations, it is predicted that he will leave the London Stadium.
West Ham’s 2022–2023 campaign was uneven. The Hammers miraculously ended the season by winning a European trophy despite having spent the bulk of it avoiding relegation to the Championship. The east London team’s 43-year trophy drought was broken with victory against Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final, which also guaranteed them a spot in the Europa League for the next season.
After playing in Europe for the last two seasons, West Ham fans have recently been allowed to get acclimated to playing in the continental league, as seen by the Hammers’ recent transfer activity. This was the situation when West Ham forked out a staggering £35 million to get the highly-coveted Italian striker from Serie A team Sassuolo last summer.
Scamacca, who entered the Premier League after an outstanding 16-goal league season with the Italian team, found it difficult to adjust to English football and ended the 2022–23 campaign with just three goals in the top tier, as per Transfermarkt. The 24-year-old has performed admirably for West Ham despite his limitations, and there are whispers that Moyes and colleagues will do all in their power to keep him in east London for the forthcoming season.

During the on-going Summer transfer window, Everton is open to offers for Demarai Gray, and West Ham United is interested in signing him. According to 90min, the 27-year-old is being chased by many Premier League clubs, including the Hammers. And since then, he has tallied 12 goals in all competitions for the club. It seems like Sean Dyche’s team is willing to let the winger leave this summer.
The three teams with an eye on the Jamaican international are West Ham, Crystal Palace, and Brentford. Everton, meanwhile, intends to consider any bids made for the player. He may be a wise addition for West Ham. The Hammers are preparing for their Europa League comeback. Additionally, they unquestionably require more help in the latter third.
The West Ham supporters would probably not be all that interested in Gray’s signing. But if Everton is willing to make a transfer at a fair price, it may be profitable for David Moyes’ team.
